We are pleased to inform that as of end of September / beginning of October 2010, Hamburg Süd will itroduce its newly configured Europe - Mediterranean services. The Northern Route (EMNR) and the Europe - East Mediterranean/Israel Service (UKEI), hitherto operated in partnershipwill be replaced by new standalone service: the North Europe - South Mediterranean Service (NESM).
For the NESM Hamburg Süd will operate 5 vessels size of 2,500 - 2,700 TEU with 600 reefer plugs . The following rotation will be offered to customers: Felixstowe - Antwerp - Hamburg - Tangiers - Alexandria - Limassol - Ashdod - Mersin - Haifa - Alexandria - Felixstowe.
The new service will be based on a weekly fix day service.
The new service configuration provides comprehensive port coverage and fast transit times from and to North Europe. Through the calls in the hub port of Tangiers, Eastern Med locations will be connected to the worldwide service network of Hamburg Süd mainly South and Central America.
The first sailings on the new NESM Service are scheduled for 26 September 2010 (Southbound) with the "Cap Bizerta" and on 3 October 2010 (Northbound) with the "Cap Palmas". |
